LOUISBURG - Linda Smith Gupton, 61, died Thursday evening, April 27, 2006. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2006 at Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was a daughter of the late William Jethro and Lucille Andrews Smith. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene S. Bowen, Alma Mae S. Moss, Mary Lee S. Edwards and Pattie Dora Smith; brothers, William Jethro Smith Jr. and David V. Smith.

Surviving: her daughter, Gina G. Vick of Louisburg; sons, Charles Gupton of Eighty Four, Pa., Carson Gupton of Butner; sisters, Brenda Turner of Columbia, Md., Mildred Edwards of Kittrell, Mattie Hendricks and Ruth Ann Moorefield, both of Henderson; brother, Robert Smith of Stoneville; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin Street, Louisburg, NC 27549 to help pay funeral expenses.

The family will receive friends 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Strickland Funeral Home in Louisburg.
