LOUISBURG - Donald "Donnie" Tharrington Edwards, Jr., 47, of Louisburg passed away on November 1, 2016 at his home. Born in Vance County on February 28, 1969 to Donald and Diane Etheridge Edwards. A 1988 graduate of Louisburg High School, Donnie worked at Edwards Grocery prior to retirement. He also loved woodworking as a hobby.

The family will receive friends Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, where funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Reverends Matthew Bowden and Patrick Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. At all other times the family will receive friends at the home of Donald and Diane Edwards, 5046 U.S. Hwy 401N., Louisburg.

Donnie is survived by his parents, Donald "Duck" and Diane Edwards; his brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Patricia Edwards; his nephew, Trent Scott Edwards.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Corinth Baptist Church, 907 Trinity Church Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
