LOUISBURG - Barbara Dickerson Edwards, 73, of Farmville, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at Pitt Memorial Hospital. She was born in Goldsboro and later lived in Louisburg and Wake Forest. She was preceded in death by her son, John Clifton Edwards.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lancaster Funerals and Cremations. Burial will follow at Trinity United Methodist.

Surviving: sons, Thurston Franklin Edwards, Jr. and wife, Carol of Westfield, NC, Walter Rainey Edwards and wife, Eve of Springfield, VA, William Vaughn Edwards and wife, Lisa of King, NC; daughters: Lucy Edwards Butler of Hendersonville, NC, Susan Edwards White and husband Franc of Farmville, NC; grandchildren: Patrick Butler, Mary Elizabeth Butler Hatcher, Victoria Cave, Stewart Stanley, Craig Williams, Ethan Edwards, Caroline Edwards, Brad Edwards and Spencer Edwards.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 11, 2007 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funerals and Cremations, 804 N. Bickett Blvd, Louisburg and at all other times at the home of Claude Edwards, 327 Kenan Road, Louisburg.
