CASTALIA - Ella Yvonne Bobbitt Cornwell, 42, of Wake Forest, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 9, at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg. Burial followed in the Bobbitt family cemetery in Castalia.

She was born in Nash County and grew up in Castalia Baptist Church, where she was the pianist while in high school. She graduated from Rocky Mount Academy and then attended Meredith College.

Surviving: husband, Thomas J. Cornwell; daughter, Ella Anne Cornwell; son, Michael-Louis Bobbitt Cornwell, all of Wake Forest; and her parents, Louis W. and Ola Mae Boulden Bobbitt of Castalia; three aunts and uncles, as well as many cousins.
