LOUISBURG - Barbara Jeffreys Dement, 64, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 3, 2017 at her home. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 5, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

She was preceded in death by her father, M.B. Jeffreys, Jr., and her brother, M.B. "Jeff" Jeffreys III.

Surviving: husband, Raymond D. Dement; mother, Anne G. Jeffreys; sister, Debbie Jeffreys, all of Louisburg; many nieces and nephews.
