FRANKLINTON - Doris Fanny Diggs Dunn, 77, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason St., Franklinton, NC.

She was born in Elizabeth, N.J. to the late Benjamin and Virginia Prentiss Diggs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Dunn Sr., and siblings, Glendora Montgomery, Imogene Weech, Rodney Diggs, and Sharon Diggs

Surviving: children, Robin Cockings (Orville), Camille Wagner (Gregory), Lisa Gundy (Ronald), and Robert E. Dunn, Jr. (Carline); siblings, Cora Lee Green, Mary Anne Armstrong, Jerry Lester Diggs, and JoAnne Thomas; and five grandchildren.

Doris had an adventurous personality and loved life. She was strong willed, yet very compassionate and caring. Doris had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, and reading her Bible. Doris was a strong patriot and supported many veterans organizations.
