LOUISBURG - Fred Ralton Harris, 82, of Louisburg, passed away Thursday afternoon.

Fred was the son of the late George and Cassie L. Harris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel M. Harris. He was a retired logger.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm Sunday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Fred is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Ralton and Reba Harris; Freddie Harris and Tammy Kelly; granddaughter, Sheena Harris; special friend, Annie Gupton, all of Louisburg; sister, Grace P. Malik of Duquesne, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 111 Laurel Mill-Centerville Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
