MAXINE "RED" ALSTON


LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Maxine "Red" Alston, 60, who died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at Perry's Missionary Baptist Church in Louisburg, with the pastor, Rev. Randolph Alston officiating. Burial will follow in the Ellis family cemetery.

Surviving: husband, Pearly Henry Alston of the home; daughter, Veronica Alston of Durham; sons, Turan Alston (Nikita) of Kittrell, Keith Alston (Shameka) and Sequan Alston (Charnell), all of Louisburg; sisters, Lucy Conyers (James) of Louisburg, Thelma Conyers of Washington, D.C., Mary Johnson (Judge) of Louisburg, Lena Vines of Raleigh, Elsie Thomas (Mike) and Delores Williams (John Earl), all of Louisburg; one brother, Ellis Wardrett (Vernette) of Warrenton; and six grandchildren.

Open visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 3 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
