YOUNGSVILLE - Rebecca Mangum Baker, 89, died Thursday evening, Jan. 26, 2017. A funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 30, at Harris Chapel Baptist Church with visitation prior to service in the church fellowship hall. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, a daughter of the late Lee Roy Mangum and Annie Belle Chalk Mangum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Walter Baker. She retired from the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles.

Surviving: daughter, Vicky (Van) Denton of Bunn; son, Donald Baker of Youngsville; sister, Doris Perry (A.R.) of Raleigh; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
