He was raised in his beloved town of Louisburg NC and lived most of his adult life in Raleigh; never far from his many wonderful friends and family.

He worked as a Special Education teacher in Wake County until he received a "divine special calling" to go into the ministry, so at the age of 53 he was accepted at Duke University School of Divinity. After a year in Wyoming, serving the Lord and the wonderful congregation there, he returned to North Carolina to seek medical treatment at Duke Hospital.

His journey with the Lord began in 2007 at North Raleigh United Methodist Church where he found a wonderful church family. While being very active in the church, he focused his attentions on the Yoke Fellow Prison Ministry and his work as a Stephen Minister.

Thomas touched many lives and he will truly be missed. His love for the Lord, golf, NFL, reading, motorcycle and his adorable four legged pals Muffy and Itzy helped bring joy to his time here.
