SPRING HOPE - Lucille Person Mullen, 94, died Thursday, May 17, 2007. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, May 19) at Oakdale Cemetery in Spring Hope.

She was born in Franklin County, the oldest of six children born to the late R.G. Person Sr. and Madeline Kearney Person. She graduated from Louisburg College and worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at F. D. Bassett & Sons for 52 years.

Mrs. Mullen was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Oris Mullen Sr.

Surviving: a son, Reginald “Reg” O. Mullen Jr. (Donna) of Spring Hope; sisters, Helen Young of Weldon, Elizabeth Lamm of Louisburg, Janie Johnson of Durham, and Dorothy Webb of Vienna, Va.; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
