WARRENTON­­--Funeral services for Earnest Alston, 78, who died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, will be held Sunday, April 9, at 2 p.m. at the St. Stephen's Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: his wife, Carrie Alston of the home; sons, Milton L. Alston of Silver Spring, Md., Melvin J. Alston (Penny) of New Carrollton, Md.; sister, Ruby Woodard of Louisburg; brothers, Hardy Alston (Leomia) of Roanoke Rapids, Elijah Alston of Irvington, N.J.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

There will be open visitation Saturday from 3 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
