LOUISBURG--Funeral services for James A. Burgess Jr., 55, who died Sunday, April 23, 2017, will be held Friday, April 28, at 12 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Louisburg, with the pastor, Rev. Dr. Timothy J. Walker Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Spivey family cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Etta Alston Burgess of the home; daughters, Courtney and Jamel Burgess, both of Louisburg; sister, Nicole Burgess of Louisburg; and seven grandchildren.

Open visitation will be today, Thursday, April 27, from 3 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
