KNIGHTDALE--Ronald Thomas Hudson, 78, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. Friday, April 28, at Trinity United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kelly Gallagher officiating. Burial followed in Lancaster Memorial Park.

He was born on May 22, 1938 to the late Harold Ward and Elsie Bailey Hudson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Vivian Gonzalez and Sandra Cottrell.

Surviving: his wife, Joyce F. Hudson; her daughter, Crystal Berry (Ted); Ronald's daughters, Angela Ward (L.S.), Rhonda Harris (Fred), Wendy Southall (Jarrett); their mother, Alma Hudson; brothers, Billy Hudson (Carolyn), Larry Hudson (Janice); sisters, Barbara Debnam and Fern Horne; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
