RALEIGH - Brenda Bass Crump, 63, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2017 at her home in Raleigh. Service was held Monday, Aug. 28, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church Youngsville, with the Rev. Samuel T. Tunstall, pastor, officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

She was was born Oct. 26, 1953 to the late Deacon Donald Bass and Deaconess Hellen Lucille Bass of Franklin County.

She was an employee of the Department of Motor Vehicles in Raleigh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Crump, and her daughter, LaSonja Crump.

Surviving: sister, Joann B. Watson of Franklinton; one aunt; five nieces; two nephews; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
