FRANKLINTON-- Susanna Norwood Holden died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017. Service was held Saturday, Sept. 2, at Manasseh Chapel Baptist Church Franklinton, with the Rev. Samuel T. Tunstall officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Granville County, to the late Buck and Lizzie Norwood on July 13, 1928. The family relocated to Franklinton in 1938 She was employed by Holiday Inn of Raleigh for more than 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan Holden; one son, Joe McArthur Holden; brothers, Harry and Jimmy Norwood; sisters, Mary Kingsberry, Beulah Green, and Elizabeth Williams..

Surviving: one son, Larry T. Holden of the home; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; sister, Willie B. Taylor of Franklinton,; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
