LOUISE PEARCE JEFFREYS

LOUISE PEARCE JEFFREYS

LOUISBURG--After a brief illness and surrounded by her loving family, Louise Pearce Jeffreys peacefully went to be with God and join her beloved, devoted husband of 60 years, Tommie (Hubert Devan Jeffreys), on September 16, 2017. Louise supported Tommie, the founder and operator of D&J Automotive in Louisburg, until his death in 2007. A welcome sight around the dealership, Miss Louise usually brought her delicious pineapple cake to be enjoyed by all. Louise's family was most important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Louise, a Christmas Eve baby, was born to Urban and Pauline Pearce in Franklin County. Her family was close-knit and she was devoted to them. In addition to Tommie and her parents, Louise was preceded in death by siblings Urban Lynn Pearce (Jane), Carolyn Strange (John), Bob Pearce, Joe E. Pearce, and Charles Pearce.

Family was always most important to Louise, who leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Doug Culbreth of Raleigh, three cherished granddaughters, Phyllis Devan Culbreth and Lou Carson Culbreth, both of Raleigh, and Dianna Culbreth Wagoner (Daniel) of Burlington, her dear sister Peggy P. Tucker, niece Carol Ingram (Hal), and great-niece Stacey Carothers (Blake), all of Raleigh; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Pearce of Raleigh and Peggy Pearce of Franklin, Virginia, as well as Delmas Jeffreys (Phyllis) of Bunn; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family expresses sincere thanks to the caring staff of Rex's 7 West and Transitions LifeCare, who all cared for Louise and helped to comfort the family during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 North Bickett Blvd. Louisburg, NC, where a celebration of Louise's life and legacy will follow at 2 p.m. with Dr. Reggie Rushing officiating. Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park on Hwy 561 outside of Louisburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Louisburg Baptist Church, P.O. Box 730, Louisburg, North Carolina 27549. Online condolences may be directed to www.lancasterfcs.com.
