WAKE FOREST --Charles Cooke Sr., 91, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Sept. 17, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Louisburg. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Richard and Ora Burwell Cooke. He attended Franklin County Public Schools until enlisting in the U. S. Navy.

Surviving: wife, Manervia Cooke of the home; daughters, Arlene Hope and Vanessia Alvarado (Daniel), all of Wake Forest; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
