LOUISBURG--Robert Luewllyn Sprouse, Jr., 68, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at Hillside Nursing & Rehabilitation in Wake Forest. He was born on April 22, 1949 to Robert L. Sprouse Sr. and the late Dorothy Woodson Sprouse. He owned and operated a construction business for many years.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 14, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his son, Michael W. Sprouse (Liane) of Etowah, NC; daughter, Nichole Thompson (Chris) of Cummings, GA; grandchildren, Emery Sprouse, Catie and Will Thompson; sisters, Leah Lively of Yorktown, VA, Janet Zimmerman of Richmond, VA, and Debi Fierro of Gilbert, AZ; and his brother, Don Sprouse of Southern Pines.
