LOUISBURG - Funeral services for John Ollie Bowden, 79, who died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, will be held Thursday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. in the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg, with Minister Faye Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Angela McKnight of Franklinton, Fretter Hedgepeth of Louisburg and Comisha Perrineau of Charlotte; son, Batone Hicks of Louisburg; sister, Eva Yarborough Brown of Philadelphia, Pa.; brother, Joel Bowden of New York City, NY; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 3 until 8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, Louisburg.
