RALEIGH - Donald Sanderson died Thursday, May 31, 2007 after several years of declining health. A celebration of his life was held at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Raleigh on June 2.

He was born in Broadway, Ohio, the eighth child of Edward P. Sanderson and Florence Price Sanderson. He was known by his family and friends as “Mr. Fix-it.”

He was predeceased by his parents, six brothers, two sisters and one grandson.

Surviving: six children, D. James Sanderson (Jo Ann) of Tampa, Fla., Patrick Sanderson (Elaine) of Raleigh, Carol Murray (Ian) of Birmingham, Mich., Julie Brockman (Chris) of Franklinton, Joanne Kuszaj (Jim) of Raleigh, and Jon Sanderson of Ocala, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
