"MACK" MALCOLM E. WRENN, SR.August 29, 1921 - December 9, 2017

LOUISBURG - Malcolm "Mack" Edwin Wrenn, Sr., 96, of Louisburg, died Saturday morning at his home.

Mack was a son of the late Eugene Cleveland Wrenn and Minnie Woodlief Wrenn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine A. Wrenn; son, Eddie Wrenn; grandson, Mark Gilliam; sisters, Eunice W. Spencer, Gladys W. Watkins, Ella W. Bailey, Lona W. Ayscue, Myrtle C. Wrenn and Mildred W. Smith; his brothers, George R. Wrenn and James C. Wrenn.

Mack was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and he owned and operated Wrenn's Body Shop since 1946.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mack is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Deborah W. and Joe Joyner; Pamela W. Gilliam, all of Louisburg; sons, M. Keith Wrenn of Louisburg and Warren R. Wrenn of Kill Devil Hills; daughter-in-law, Kay H. Wrenn of Louisburg; sisters, Jean W. Johnson of Louisburg, Lillian W. Pennisi of Raleigh; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews .

The family will receive friends 7 - 8:30 p.m. Monday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
