JAMES W. WILSON JR.


RALEIGH - James W. Wilson Jr., 85, died Monday, June 4, 2007 at Rex Hospital Hospice Unit in Raleigh. Memorial services were conducted Friday, June 8, at First United Methodist Church of Cary. Inurnment was at Oakwood Cemetery.

Born in Franklin County, he was the son of James and Alice U. Wilson. He served in the Air Force as a sergeant and earned two bronze stars. Mr. Wilson received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture at NCSU. He was a teacher for 14 years and was a regional sales representative for Northrup King for 20 years.

Surviving: his wife, Hettie Stallings; daughter, Alice Curtis (Jim), both of Sparks, Nev.; son, Steven Wilson (Martha Ikeda) of Cary; one grandson, Brian Walker of Dallas, Texas.; sister, Kitty Blackley of Cary.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane Montague and Rebecca Richardson, and his mother, Alice.
