YOUNGSVILLE - Margaret “Tilda” Young Strickland Morris, 98, died Friday, June 8, 2007 at Louisburg Nursing Center. Mrs. Morris did not like going to funerals, so no services will be held. Visitation was Sunday, June 10, at the home of Susan Timberlake in Youngsville.

Mrs. Morris was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Marguerite Clifton Young and Augustus Perrin Young. She was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husbands, Rufus A. Strickland and John D. Morris, and one grandson.

Surviving: her daughters, Susan Timberlake of Youngsville and Kay Thigpen (Bob) of Holiday, Fla.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
