RALEIGH - Thomas Laval “Pete” Beddingfield, 74, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Rex Healthcare. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, Aug. 11) at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel, Knightdale, with the Rev. Tim Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens (formerly Restlawn Memorial Gardens), 7600 ACC Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27613 with military honors.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Wiley Thomas Beddingfield and Sally Ellington Beddingfield. He served his country in the United States Army and was maintenance supervisor at Capital Towers.

Surviving: daughter, Pamela Beddingfield Narron (Jamie) of Zebulon; son, Richard L. “Ricky” Beddingfield (Leslie) of Raleigh; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mabel B. Wheeler and Nancy B. Horton; brothers, Tryon Beddingfield and John Beddingfield.
