LOUISBURG - Viola Davis Campbell, 91, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Sept. 15, at Mt. Hebron Holy Church in Louisburg, with Elder Donathan Muldrow officiating. Interment followed in the Mary H. Jones cemetery, T. K. Allen Road, Louisburg.

She was born to the late Thomas Dennette and Estella Jones Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. Artis Campbell; a daughter, Jeannie Norman; siblings, Eleanor Perry, Katie Perry, Luvenia Webb and Arish Davis.

Surviving: son, John T. “Pee-Wee” Davis (Michelle) of Norfolk, Va.; a daughter, Lucy Davis of Perth Amboy, N.J.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
