ZEBULON - George Donald “Donnie” Perry, 61, died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at Rex Healthcare. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, May 13) at Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Wake County to the late Robert Allen Perry and Olivia Duke Perry. He was a farmer, and volunteered with the Zebulon Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years.

Surviving: wife, Sue Blackley Perry; sons, Timothy Donald “Tim” Perry (Pat) of Zebulon, Stephen Thomas “Tommy” Perry (Angel) of Zebulon; brothers, Norman Perry (Judy) of Zebulon, Linwood Perry (Linda) of Raleigh, James Perry (Lucy) of Zebulon, and Charles Perry of Raleigh; and two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund, 4525 Hopkins Chapel Road, Zebulon, NC 27597.
