ZEBULON – Douglas Cornell Medlin, 58, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 16, 2007, at his home. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pearce Baptist Church cemetery with Military Honors.

He was a retired electrician with IBEW local 553 and a disabled Vietnam veteran, serving with the U.S. Army. He was the son of the late Douglas D. Medlin and Iantha Jeffreys Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa P. Medlin; daughters, Candice and Ashleigh Medlin, both of the home; sister, Donna King of Louisburg; nieces and nephews; great-niece and nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary’s St., Raleigh, NC 27605.

The family will receive friends 12:45-1:45 p.m. Thursday at Pearce Baptist Church prior to the service and other times at the home.
