ZEBULON - Clarice Fowler Jones, 94, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Friday, Nov. 9, at Rolesville Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, daughter of the late Gertrude Robertson Fowler and James Robert Fowler Sr., and was preceded in death by her husband, Durward B. Jones Sr.; sisters, Mildred F. Matheny, Christine F. Morris; and a brother, J.R. Fowler Jr. She taught elementary school for 10 years and was a homemaker.

Surviving: sons, Durward B. Jones Jr. of Zebulon, Robert W. Jones (Diana) of Wake Forest; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
