WAKE FOREST - Lois Carter Hicks, 88, formerly of Lassiter Road, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007 at Hillside Nursing Center. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Beulah Christian Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Mike Jones officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Tom and Ethel Ford Carter.

Surviving: her children, Lonnie James “L.J.” Hicks (Sheila) of Clayton, Yvonne Clark of Zebulon, Lois Faye Pearce of Garner, Everette Hicks of Youngsville, Abby Gail Daniels (William) and Darvin Driver, all of Louisburg; sisters, Maggie Hailey of Raleigh and Angie DeLeon of Wake Forest; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie J. Hicks Sr., and her daughter, Lena Mae Driver. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beulah Christian Baptist Church, 8225 Mitchell Mill Road, Zebulon, NC 27597.
