FRANKLINTON – Katie Gertrude Person Bass, 83, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007. Funeral services were on Nov. 16 at Manasseh Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Samuel Tunstall officiating.

She was born Feb. 24, 1924 in Franklinton to the late James and Esther Person.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bass, a sister, Irene Morgan, and three brothers, Thomas, Reginald and Charles Person.

Survivors include one stepdaughter, Elizabeth K. Miller; goddaughters, Eva English and Frances Harliston; two sisters, Kathryn P. Perry and Ladya P. Tyler, both of Franklinton; one brother, Frank M. Person (Millie) of Brooklyn, N.Y.; several nieces and n
