DURHAM - Sandra Alithia Hawkins, 55, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at Carver Living Center in Durham. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Greater Joy Baptist Church, Durham, with Bishop James E. Daniel, pastor, officiating.

She was born in Franklinton to the late James R. Hawkins and Rochelle Bass Hawkins. She graduated from Barringer High School in Newark, N. J. Miss Hawkins was employed with Durham Regional Hospital as a health unit coordinator until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Hawkins, and her sister, Frances Hawkins.

Surviving: her mother, Rochelle B. Hawkins of Durham; a brother, Robert L. Kearney of Franklinton; three nieces; two great-nephews; and one great-niece.
