JAMES W. FREEMAN SR.


YOUNGSVILLE - James W. Freeman Sr., 70, of Mendon, N.Y., formerly of Youngsville, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y.

Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Wake Forest, with the Rev. Jerry Fisher officiating.

Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Church cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Annie Mae Nines Freeman and Johnny Freeman. He was retired owner and operator of Freeman’s Auto Service in Youngsville.

Surviving: his wife, Dana Freeman; daughters, Lauren Freeman of Mendon, N.Y., Donna Schultz (Scott) of Clayton; sons, Jim Freeman (Kim) of Rolesville, John Freeman (Stephanie) of Phoenix, Az., Harold Freeman (Georgia) of State College, Pa.; sisters, Margie Haith of Raleigh, Yvonne Norwood of Zebulon; brother, Johnny Freeman of Raleigh; and 11 grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family from 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
