IVOR G. CRITCHER SR.


BRACEY, VA - Ivor G. Critcher, 83, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 6) in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest, with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Dinwiddie County, Va., the son of the late Arthur and Addie Clark Critcher. He retired from Wake Electric after 38 years of service, and was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, serving during WW II on the Pacific Coast.

Surviving: his wife, Betsy Hart Critcher; stepsons, Stanley Young (Deborah) of Youngsville and Burt Young of Franklinton; sister, Lucy Holloman of Petersburg, Va.; three step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Critcher Jr.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
