KITTRELL - Eunice Shearin Wilson, 76, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008 in a local nursing home. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Feb. 14, in the J.M. White Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Robert Hammond. Burial followed in the Union Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.

Born in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Mordecai D. Shearin and Lelia Aycock Shearin. She was a retired operator from the former Carolina Telephone Company.

Surviving: her husband, J. D. Wilson Sr.; sons, Dale E. Wilson of Henderson, Monte L. Wilson of Las Vegas, Nev., Macy N. Wilson of Hope Mills and John D. Wilson Jr. of Fayetteville; brothers, Ezra T. Shearin of Pleasanton, Texas, and John K. Shearin of Ocala, Fla.; sisters, Zella S. Knight of Henderson and Jean S. Bedwell of Melbourne, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Rufus Shearin, and a sister, Dora Mae Ferrell.
