JOSESPHINE “JO” C. FOWLER


FRANKLINTON - Josephine “Jo” Cable Fowler, 70, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Fairview Cemetery, with the Rev. Clyde Waiden presiding.

She was born in Forney Creek to the late Daniel L. and Myrtle Fore Cable. She was employed with Burlington Industries for many years before her retirement in 1996.

Surviving: her daughter, Tammy Jo Plumley of Franklinton; son, William Rodger Elliott, also of Franklinton; stepsons, Johnny Jackson Fowler Jr. of Oklahoma and Bruce Fowler of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sister, Imogene Lawing of Marion; and five grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Johnny Jackson Fowler, and her sisters, Frankie Cable and Tiny McClure.
