SAN ARROGO HONDO, MEXICO - Mauricia Rod-riguez Diaz, 87, died Sunday, March 9, 2008 in a hospital in Guzmem, Mexico. A memorial service will be conducted at 5 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 12) at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 460 Fox Park Road, Louisburg.

Mauricia was the maternal grandmother of 17-year-old Jesica Santillan, who died at Duke Medical Center in February 2003 from a failed heart/lung transplant.

Surviving: daughters, Magdalena Santillan, Isabel Santillan, Rosario Santillan, all of Louisburg, and Olivia Santillan of Castilla;, Mexico and 15 grandchildren.
