ZEBULON - Effie Jeans Height, 97, of Guardian Care Nursing Home died Friday, March 21, 2008. Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 24, in the Strickland Funeral Home chapel, Wendell. Burial followed in the Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church cemetery.

A native of Franklin County, she was daughter to the late James Kerney and Cynthia Jane Tant Jeans. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Alphus Etheridge, and Robert N. Height; daughter, Ava V. Hicks; sister, Eva Height; and one great-great-grandchild.

Surviving: her daughter, Mollie Richardson (Berdon) of Wendell; sister, Eva Height of Wake Forest; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Flowers or memorial contributions to either Guardian Care Nursing Home or Baptist Tabernacle Church are welcome.
