HENDERSON - John Earl Walker Foster, 49, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Granville Medical Center, Oxford. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 28, at New Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. Neal and Apostle Esther Williams officiating. Interment followed in the Blacknall cemetery.

He was born in Henderson, the son of Ethel F. Roberson and the late Marvin Walker. For more than 20 years he was employed with Harriett-Henderson Mills, until its closing. He was also employed with Guardian Angels Group Home of Henderson.

Surviving: his mother, Ethel F. Roberson of Henderson; stepfather, Fred Roberson of Henderson; wife, Paulette Foster of Henderson; one brother, Vernus Sr. of Yazoo City, Miss.; sisters, Leslie of Henderson and Tonja of Lithonia, Ga.; six stepchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
