CASTALIA - Peggy Jones Taylor, age 61, 8641 Sunset Lane, Castalia, entered into eternal rest April 7, 2008. She was born September 14, 1946, to the late Robert and Marjorie Jones. Peggy was a member of Gillfield Baptist Church, where she served as an usher and in the Sunday School Department. She was Past Worthy Matron of Coretta S. King #655 Order of Eastern Star, PHA, Spring Hope, NC. Peggy was employed by The Sewing Source for many years.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband Samuel E. Taylor of the home; daughter, Cynthia Taylor; son, Samuel L. “Mann” Taylor (Viva); daughter, Crystal T. Gray (Carlton); grandchildren, Chiquita, Ade`, Aaron “AJ”, Carlton Jr.”CJ”, Taylor, Brandon and Pasha; her great-grandchildren, Calef and Calycee`; three sisters, Mary Beatrice Alston (Leroy), Betty Sue Wilson, Floraetta Thomas; mother in-law, Frances Marie Taylor; one brother in-law, Russell Lee Taylor; one aunt, Hattie Hill; a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday April 10, 11:00 a.m. at Gillfield Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation hours will be Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at William Toney’s Funeral Home in Spring Hope. The family will be present from 6-8 P.M. Services have been entrusted to Carlton L.
