FRANKLINTON- Howard “Buddy” Winston Pearce, 73, died Sunday afternoon, April 13, 2008 at WakeMed. in Raleigh. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, April 16) at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Carl Hunter presiding.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Richard S. and Lizzie Pergerson Pearce. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Surviving: his wife, Camilla Kearney Pearce; three sons, Tarbie Pearce, Jerry Pearce and Danny Pearce; two daughters, Wanda Oakley and Yvonne Lane and their spouses, all of Franklinton; five sisters, Ester Weltman of W. Va., Mae Blackley, Sarah Stevens, both of Franklinton, Betty Enlowe of Butner, and Andelia Watkins of Rolesville; brother, Richard Pearce Jr. of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Blackley, and two brothers, Melvin and Lawrence Pearce.

Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall following the service.
