BUNN - Gaynelle Tharrington Cartwright, 78, of Boydton, Va., formerly of Bunn, died Sunday afternoon, April 20, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 22) at Bunn Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donnie Wiltshire officiating. Burial will follow at Bunn Memorial Gardens.

She was the daughter of the late Herman Reginald and Alice Belle Gay Tharrington and a native of Franklin County.

Surviving: her husband, Shelton H. Cartwright Sr.; daughters, Joanne King (Donald) of Martinsburg, W. Va., Karen Smith (Robert) of Lynchburg, Va.; sons, Shelton Cartwright Jr. (Janice) of Charlottesville, Va., Randy Cartwright and Robin Randall of Kearneysville, W. Va.; brothers, Herman R. Tharrington (Carol) of Vienna, Va., William Tharrington (Lois) of Summerfield; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson.
