ROCKLEDGE, Fla. - Rinda M. Gupton, 92, died Friday, May 16, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 21) in the J. M. White Funeral Home chapel in Henderson by the Rev. Jack Edge. Burial will follow in the Middleburg Cemetery in Middleburg.

She was born in Wayne County, W. Va., the daughter of the late Adam and Amy Finley Maynard. She lived independently until February, just around the corner from her son and his family.

Surviving: her son, Rodney Eugene Gupton (Debbie) of Rockledge, Fla.; stepdaughter, Mary Fenner Gupton Bass of Burlington; two stepsons, Bobby Lee Gupton of Louisburg and Charles Gupton of Seattle, Wash; sisters, Rosaslee Kern of Stout, Ohio, Addie Sommer of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Emma Jo Lewis of Canton, Ga.; one brother, Jesse Maynard of Wadmalaw Island, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:40 p.m. prior to the funeral service at J. M. White Funeral Home.
