LAUDERDALE BY THE SEA, Fla. - Joe Salzillo, 75, died Friday, May 9, 2008 at his home. A memorial service was conducted for family members at Assumption Catholic Church.

He was born in Providence, R.I. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at ITT, Nortel and Dell, receiving many prestigious awards. He lived in both Raleigh and Cary between 1977 and 1990.

Surviving: his wife,, Joan Alienello Salzillo; sons, Dale Salzillo (LuAnn) of Louisburg, Joseph Charles “JC” Salzillo (Jill) of Georgetown, Tex., Geg Salzillo (Cami) of Round Rock, Tex.; daughters, Leslie Salzillo of Nashville, Tenn./Tucson, Ariz., and Robin Campbell (Clint) of Austin, Tex.; sister, Anna Lunghi of East Providence, R.I.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Salzillo, Rose Salzillo, and a sister, Phyllis D’Andrea.
