ZEBULON - Vernie Pearce Perry, 88, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Pearce Baptist Church, Zebulon. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Born in Franklin County, she was the last surviving child born to Omri and Florence Pearce. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Perry; son, Charles Terry Perry; brothers, Meldrin, Oris, Wallace and Vaden Pearce; sisters, Flora Carter, Maude Pearce, Zoie Pearce, Oma Stallings, Myrtie Pearce and Annie Rue Bowling; and one granddaughter.

Surviving: sons, Bobby Glenn Perry (Carolyn) of Zebulon and Connie M. Perry of Zebulon; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
