YOUNGSVILLE - Ella Mae Porter, 51, died Friday, May 23, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, May 31) at Feggins & Feggins Funeral Chapel in Wake Forest, with the Rev. Harvey Hartsfield officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mary Jones cemetery in Louisburg.

She was born in Bishopville, S.C., to the late Robert “Bob” and Lillie Mae Rembert.

Surviving: husband, Lindon Porter of Cassatt, S.C.; three daughters, Deborah Burroughs of Youngsville, Christine Burroughs and Melissa Burroughs, both of Zebulon; four sons, Leroy Burroughs and Melvin Burroughs, both of Pearces, Lindon Porter Jr. and Glen Prince, both of Youngsville; a sister, Mary Wynn of Newport News, Va.; brothers, Henry and John Rembert, both of Miami, Fla., Charles Burroughs of Stanford, Conn., Robert Burroughs of Wendell, Willie Rembert of Bennettsville, S. C., Johnny Rembert of Zebulon, and Sammie Rembert of Pearces; and 12 grandchildren.
