LOUISBURG – Nona Bunn Winstead, 77, of Louisburg, died Sunday evening.

Mrs. Winstead was the daughter of the late Clifton and Hazel Medlin Barnette. She was a native of Franklin County and a member of New Hope Christian Church.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Hope Christian Church with the Rev. Steve Barham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Winstead is survived by her husband of 58 years, W.D. “Rusty” Winstead; son, Ray Winstead of Louisburg; grandson, Justin Winstead and his wife Ashley of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Chandler and Nathaniel Winstead; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Christian Church, 2793 NC 98 Hwy. W., Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family received friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg.
