LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Marie Thomas Edgerton, 75, who died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, were conducted Sunday, June 8, at Jones Chapel Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Mary Tucker Rogers of Charlotte and Shirley Tucker of the home; sons, Willie A. Tucker and Ricky Edgerton, both of Louisburg; sisters, Bettie Collins of Louisburg and Margaret Wilkins of Queens, N.Y.; brothers, James Thomas of Washington, D. C., Leslie Thomas, George Thomas, Glenn Thomas, and Johnnie Thomas, all of Louisburg; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
