ZEBULON - Clarence A. Maiden, 80, died Saturday, June 7, 2008. Memorial services were conducted Monday, June 9, at Massey Funeral Home in Zebulon.

He was the son of the late Herman and Emma Maiden. He served in the U.S. Navy at the end of WW II as a medic and owned a fuel oil business in Zebulon for several years.

Surviving: daughters, Peggy Kelley (Robert) of Henderson, Nancy Pulley (Frank) of Zebulon; sisters, Inez Brannan of Wendell and Clentis Gupton of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, Larry Maiden (Rachel) of Cary; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friendship Freewill Baptist Church, Friendship Church Road, Middlesex, NC 27557.
