RALEIGH - Jim Cottle, 62, died Monday, June 23, 2008. A prayer service, led by the Rev. Phyllis Mayo, was conduced Friday, June 27, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Millbrook Road, Raleigh, followed by a time of visitation and remembrance.

He was born in Clinton to the late Thomas J. and Lucille M. Cottle.

Surviving: his wife, Amanda; son, Jamie (Velma) of Winter Garden, Fla.; daughter, Christy, Asheville; brothers, Thomas J. Jr. (Barbara) of Emerald Isle and Donald E. (Carolyn) of Franklinton; sister, Pat C. Taylor (Tim) of Clayton; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
